Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner has an avulsion fracture in his right hand and is day-to-day, the team announced today. The injury is stable and will not require surgery.
"I'll be back soon; it's not that bad," Turner told BasketballNews.com via text message.
Turner is averaging 12.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.2 blocks and 1.5 steals per game, and he has emerged as a candidate for the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year award with his strong play.
