ANALYSIS: The Wizards are reportedly close on a trade that would send Russell Westbrook to the Los Angeles Lakers. Despite rumblings about Beal considering a trade request earlier this week, it appears the trade will not impact his desires at the moment.

"Sources tell me Beal right now has no desire to leave the Wizards."

Shams Charania of The Athletic confirms the report, saying Beal "has no desire" to leave Washington. He also said a supermax deal worth up to $235 million "could be on the horizon" next summer.
