San Antonio Spurs star DeMar DeRozan has informed the franchise that he is opting into his $27.7 million player option for the 2020-21 season, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

ANALYSIS: DeRozan is choosing to go with the pay day in the final year of his contract instead of testing the free agent waters. The veteran swingman averaged 22.1 points, 5.6 assists and 5.5 rebounds last season with the Spurs, including knocking down a career-best 53.1 percent of his field goals.
