As Warriors coach Steve Kerr fills out his staff, one name said to be under consideration: former Hawks coach Lloyd Pierce. There have been conversations, per NBA sources, and Kerr and Pierce are on Gregg Popovich's Team USA staff.

ANALYSIS: Pierce has been on NBA coaching staffs since 2007-08, and spent two-plus seasons as the coach of the Atlanta Hawks before being fired midseason in 2020-21. The 45-year-old compiled a 63-120 record with the rebuilding team and helped develop young players such as Trae Young and De'Andre Hunter.
