The NBA announced that Paul George and Jarrett Allen have been named NBA Players of the Week for Nov. 1-7 in their respective conferences.
George led the Clippers on a 4-0 week, turning them from a 1-4 team to 5-4 by averaging 26.3 points, 8.8 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game. He scored 32 points twice in victories over the Oklahoma City Thunder and Minnesota Timberwolves.

Allen spearheaded the Cavaliers on a 4-0 run of their own with 20.5 points and 16.3 rebounds per game. That included a monster 24 points, 17 rebounds and four assists in a three-point win over the Portland Trail Blazers.
