Minnesota Timberwolves associate HC David Vanterpool will interview for the Houston Rockets head coaching job, sources tell ESPN. Vanterpool spent seven seasons on Portland staff before becoming the top assistant with Minnesota a year ago.

ANALYSIS: The Houston Rockets are still on the search for a new head coach. With Doc Rivers now off of the market, the Rockets will look to move quickly in filling their vacant head coaching spot. Vanterpool has valuable experience in the NBA and would seem due for his first head coaching job in the league.
