NBA, NBPA agree to keep Play-In Tournament for 2021-22 season

The NBA and the Players Association have agreed to extend the play-in tournament format through the 2021-2022 season, sources tell ESPN. The league’s Board of Governors will make it official in a formal vote soon.

ANALYSIS: The NBA Play-In Tournament has appeared in each of the last two seasons, but took on the 7-to-10 seed format for 2020-21. It remains to be seen if the league will make any tweaks to the format for the 2021-22 tournament.
