ANALYSIS: Markkanen was in the midst of a resurgent season with the Bulls. The 23-year-old is averaging a career-high 19.1 points per game with a career-best 39.6 percent three-point clip. Though the injury isn't derailing, it comes at a difficult time for the Bulls forward, who was making a statement as a worthwhile long-term piece in Chicago.
