Aldridge hasn't played for the Spurs since March 1, and the organization announced they had mutually decided to part way shortly after.
According to The Athletic, Aldridge gave back $7.25 million to the Spurs as part of his buyout agreement.
The Miami Heat are thought to be the leading suitor for Aldridge once he hits the open market.
