Walker was just traded to the Pistons by the Knicks who have been clearing cap space in their pursuit of free agent Jalen Brunson. He is owed $9.2M by Detroit this coming season.
He now becomes a free agent and is eligible to make $3M on a minimum contract since he has 10+ years of service time.
