Giannis Antetokounmpo's Historic Triple-Double Leads Bucks to Victory Over 76ers

In a remarkable display of versatility and leadership, Giannis Antetokounmpo propelled the Milwaukee Bucks to a 126-113 win against the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday night. Antetokounmpo recorded an unprecedented triple-double, amassing 35 points, a career-high 20 assists, and 17 rebounds. This stat line marks the first occurrence of such figures in NBA history.

With key teammate Damian Lillard sidelined due to deep vein thrombosis, Antetokounmpo embraced an expanded role as the primary ball handler. Assistant coach Darvin Ham, who stepped in after head coach Doc Rivers left the game due to illness, noted, "Giannis has to think more like a point forward... It's just now, you know, him understanding the organization, making sure we're in the right spots."

Antetokounmpo's facilitation was instrumental in the team's success, leading to six other Bucks players scoring in double figures, including Brook Lopez with 17 points. Reflecting on his performance, Antetokounmpo stated, "When you're the primary ball handler, you just gotta keep on making good decisions for the team."

This victory improves the Bucks' record to 42-34, positioning them fifth in the Eastern Conference standings. They are set to face the Miami Heat in their next matchup.
