Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart has agreed to a four-year, $77 million contract extension, sources told ESPN.

ANALYSIS: Per Wojnarowski, this was the maximum allowable extension based off of Smart's current $14.3 million salary. The 27-year-old is the longest-tenured active Celtic, having been with the team since it selected him sixth overall in the 2014 NBA Draft. Smart averaged a career-high 13.1 points and 5.7 assists per game in 2020-21.
