Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis is expected to decline his $4.6 million player option for the 2022-23 season and enter unrestricted free agency, according to HoopsHype's Michael Scotto.
With Brook Lopez sidelined for most of the 2021-22 season, Portis stepped up for the Bucks, starting 59 games and averaging career-highs in points (14.6), rebounds (9.1), blocks (0.7) and made threes (1.8).
The 27-year-old is expected to receive a significant raise this offseason. Previously, he took a discount in order to remain in Milwaukee and defend their NBA title.
Portis is currently ranked as the 12th-best free agent in BasketballNews' 2022 NBA Free Agency rankings.
