Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett is set to reunite with his former team Minnesota Timberwolves, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
The Timberwolves legend will be in an “all-encompassing role” involving business, community efforts, and content development, as he returns to the franchise he once starred for in the past.
Garnett has not been involved with the Wolves organization since his career ended in 2016 after a rift with then Wolves owner Glen Taylor. Since then, Garnett has built a rapport with new owners Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez, prompting this move back to the franchise.
Along this new role, Garnett will reportedly finally be given a jersey retirement ceremony for his iconic #21 in the near future.
