Stephen Curry becomes first NBA player to reach 4,000 career threes

Golden State Warriors' superstar Stephen Curry made NBA history by becoming the first player to surpass 4,000 career 3-pointers. He achieved this milestone during a commanding 130-104 victory over the Sacramento Kings.

Curry reached the 4,000 mark with a 28-foot 3-pointer in the third quarter, a moment that was met with enthusiastic applause from the home crowd. Despite contributing 11 points in the game, Curry played a facilitating role, allowing teammates like Draymond Green, who scored a season-high 23 points, and Jonathan Kuminga, returning from injury to add 18 points off the bench, to shine.

This victory extended the Warriors' winning streak to six games, improving their season record to 34-28. Head coach Steve Kerr praised Curry's dedication and longevity, suggesting that reaching 5,000 career 3-pointers is within the realm of possibility if he maintains his current form and health.

Curry's unprecedented achievement not only solidifies his status as the NBA's premier shooter but also sets a benchmark that may stand for years to come. His influence on the game has been transformative, inspiring a generation of players to prioritize long-range shooting and changing the dynamics of modern basketball.

As the season progresses, the Warriors look poised for a strong playoff run, with Curry's leadership and shooting prowess at the forefront of their success.
