The Phoenix Suns are finalizing a deal to sign free agent forward Thaddeus Young, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Young gives the Suns additional size and depth in the frontcourt for the remainder of the season and the playoffs. The 35-year-old previously played for the Toronto Raptors before getting traded to the Brooklyn Nets, who subsequently waived him. The veteran forward now moves over to Phoenix where he could be a vital piece off the bench along with newcomers Royce O’Neale and David Roddy.

An NBA journeyman for 18 years, Young is one of four players who has averaged 12.1+ points, 5.2+ rebounds, 1.3+ steals, 50.1+ FG% and 30.2+ 3PT% along with Magic Johnson and LeBron James. He has played in 1,162 regular-season games, averaging 12.2 points and 5.7 rebounds.
