Orlando Magic star Franz Wagner has suffered a torn oblique and will be sidelined indefinitely, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Per Charania, Wagner suffered the injury Friday night against the 76ers and will be reevaluated in four weeks.
This is devastating news for the Magic as Wagner suffers the same injury as his co-star Paolo Banchero, who last played on October 30.
Orlando currently sits at third in the East with a 16-9 record and will face the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA Cup quarterfinals on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS: This is a tough blow for the Magic, who will now be without both Wagner and Banchero. Wagner is averaging 24.4 PTS, 5.7 AST, and 5.6 REB this season as he has played like an all-star to lead the team in all aspects sans Banchero.
