In 2021, the NBA set aside its suit guidelines and dress codes that had coaches in suits and ties from tip-off to walk-off. In 2010, the NBA did away with the turtleneck beneath the blazer look, in a move from comfort to style code, and opted to have coaches wear collared shirts below their jackets. Just 12 years later in a complete turn, the dress code has been turned back to comfort. Coaches will once again be allowed to wear their quarter-zips and presentable pants on the sidelines for the upcoming season.
