Anthony Davis (ankle) questionable for Game 5

Update: Lakers injury report for Game 5: Anthony Davis (sprained left ankle) and Dion Waiters (sore left groin) are questionable. Alex Caruso (sore right wrist), Danny Green (Volar plate injury, left ring finger) and LeBron James (sore right groin) are probable.

Original report: Anthony Davis appeared to injure his left ankle in the fourth quarter of the 114-108 victory over the Denver Nuggets and writhed in pain on the ground for quite some time. Fortunately, Davis was able to walk it off and remained in the game to help secure the victory for the Lakers. It shouldn't come as a surprise then, to hear Davis say that he is healthy enough to play in Game 5 on Saturday.

"My ankle feels fine," Davis told reporters after Game 4. "I've got tonight, tomorrow, before the game to get it back to where it is, but it's good enough to play. I rolled it pretty bad, but not too bad. I'll be fine."

ANALYSIS: Lakers fans everywhere were holding their breath when Anthony Davis went down hard on his ankle late in Game 4. What is being described as a 'rolled' ankle, will not seem to keep Davis on the sidelines as he intends to play in Game 5. The Lakers official injury report however has Davis listed as questionable, so this will be something to monitor.

The Lakers will get a chance to close out Denver and move on to the NBA Finals when the two teams meet again on Saturday. Denver finds themselves down 3-1 in a playoff series for the third consecutive time in this postseason.
