Sources say former Knicks coach and TNT analyst Jeff Van Gundy is expected to be a serious candidate for Houston's head coaching job.

ANALYSIS: With Mike D'Antoni now out as the Rockets' head coach, there is speculation that former Houston head coach and current TV analyst Jeff Van Gundy is a candidate for the job. Van Gundy has not coached in the NBA since his last tenure with the Rockets from 2003-2007. Van Gundy is the current coach of the USA national team and it will be interesting to see if he is open to a return to the NBA.
