Lakers not concerned after Game 3 loss

After the undermanned Miami Heat notched their first win of the NBA Finals, 115-104 on Sunday to draw the series to 2-1, the leaders of the Los Angeles Lakers insisted their resolve remains strong.

"I don't ever feel like we let our guard down," LeBron James said after his 25-point, 10-rebound, 8-assist performance was marred by 8 turnovers. "Also, I don't feel like we're concerned. We're not concerned. We know we can play a lot better. We have another opportunity to take a commanding lead on Tuesday. You relish that opportunity."

Forward Anthony Davis, whose 15-point output Sunday was less than half his 33.0 points series average coming into the night, echoed James' confidence.

ANALYSIS: After an inspiring performance from Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat, Lakers’ leaders LeBron James and Anthony Davis did not seem overly concerned about coming out flat in the Game 3 loss. Los Angeles has come out great following a loss in the 2020 playoffs so far and will hope to continue that trend here in the Finals.

Miami could be expecting to get at least one of their top players back next game as Bam Adebayo (neck) and Goran Dragic (foot) were both close to returning for Game 3. Game 4 is set for Tuesday at 9pm ET where the Lakers will look to take a commanding 3-1 series lead, while the Heat try to even things up at 2-2.
