NBA announces 2025 All-Star Game reserves

The NBA has officially announced the reserves for the 2025 All-Star Game, set to take place on February 16 at the Chase Center in San Francisco. These selections, chosen by the league's head coaches, will join the previously announced starters in the newly formatted All-Star mini-tournament.

Eastern Conference Reserves:

  • Guards:
    • Cade Cunningham, Detroit Pistons
    • Darius Garland, Cleveland Cavaliers
  • Frontcourt:
    • Jaylen Brown, Boston Celtics
    • Pascal Siakam, Indiana Pacers
    • Evan Mobley, Cleveland Cavaliers
  • Wildcards:
    • Damian Lillard, Milwaukee Bucks
    • Tyler Herro, Miami Heat

Western Conference Reserves:

  • Guards:
    • Anthony Edwards, Minnesota Timberwolves
    • James Harden, Los Angeles Clippers
  • Frontcourt:
    • Anthony Davis, Los Angeles Lakers
    • Victor Wembanyama, San Antonio Spurs
    • Jaren Jackson Jr., Memphis Grizzlies
  • Wildcards:
    • Alperen Sengun, Houston Rockets
    • Jalen Williams, Oklahoma City Thunder

These reserves will complement the All-Star starters announced last week, which include prominent players such as LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Nikola Jokic.

This year's All-Star Game introduces a new format featuring a mini-tournament with four teams competing in three games. The 24 All-Star selections will be divided into three teams, each drafted by TNT's Inside the NBA analysts—Charles Barkley, Shaquille O'Neal, and Kenny Smith. The fourth team will comprise the winners of the Rising Stars Challenge, led by honorary general manager Candace Parker. Each game will be played to a target score of 40 points, adding a fresh competitive element to the event.

The 2025 NBA All-Star Weekend promises to deliver an exciting showcase of basketball talent, blending seasoned superstars with emerging players in an innovative and engaging format.
