The Memphis Grizzlies announced today that Ja Morant has entered the league's health and safety protocols. It is unclear if Morant has tested positive for COVID-19 or if this is due to a contact tracing protocol. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Morant is fully vaccinated and has gotten his COVID-19 booster shot.
Morant was already doubtful for tonight's game against the Mavericks due to a knee sprain. He has been out with the injury since suffering it on Nov. 26. This season, the third-year point guard is averaging 24.1 points, 6.8 assists and 5.8 rebounds per game.
