ANALYSIS: It's been a whirlwind week for the Mavericks, who parted ways with longtime president Donnie Nelson before head coach Rick Carlisle left the team. Nowitzki is obviously a Mavericks legend, and his voice will carry weight in the searches.
"Mark approached me and asked me to help out and of course I said yes," Nowitzki told the Times. "Any way I can help my Mavs, I'm in."
