Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese continue to set standards and achieve historic records as rookies in the WNBA.
Clark, the 2023 no.1 overall selection, got the first-ever rookie triple-double in the WNBA by scoring 19 points, grabbing 12 rebounds, and dishing out 13 assists. The Indiana Fever rookie led her team to the win over last year’s finalists New York Liberty. This was also the franchise’s first-ever triple-double, and Clark did this against triple-double queen herself Sabrina Ionescu.

Reese on the other hand, the 7th overall pick, surpassed WNBA legend Candace Parker’s record of 12 straight double-doubles when she had yet another double-double, putting her at 13 straight. What’s more impressive is doing this as a rookie and with the WNBA as big as ever, with all the influx of talent internationally and from this star-studded rookie class.
