Brazil's NBA Park to be league’s largest fan destination in the world

RIO DE JANEIRO – The National Basketball Association (NBA) and Nacional Parque Basquete Brasil, an operator of theme parks and entertainment attractions, today announced a collaboration to open NBA Park, the league’s largest fan destination in the world, in Brazil this November.

The three-story, 4,000+ square meter, state-of-the art entertainment center will be operated by Nacional Parque Basquete Brasil and located at Avenida das Hydrangeas, #4795 in Gramado, Rio Grande do Sul, and will immerse fans of all ages in the excitement of the NBA through basketball activities, virtual reality experiences, an NBA Store and NBA-themed restaurant, photo opportunities and more.  NBA Park will also showcase authentic NBA memorabilia and exclusive NBA-inspired art in celebration of the league’s history.

“Opening the largest NBA fan destination in the world in Gramado speaks to the momentum for basketball in Brazil and our commitment to providing our passionate fans across the country with unique experiences,” said NBA Latin America Licensing and Retail Vice President Sergio Perrella.  “We can’t wait to welcome fans and families to this first-of-its-kind immersive basketball destination where they will be able to celebrate their love of the game in new and creative ways.”

“The NBA transcends the game of basketball across fashion, lifestyle and pop culture, and NBA Park will bring these themes to life,” said Nacional Parque Basquete Brasil CEO Jonas Ortiz.  “Gramado is a renowned tourist destination, and we look forward to delivering incredible life-long memories for generations of NBA fans for years to come.”

Additional details about NBA Park will be announced later.  For more information about the NBA in Brazil, fans can follow @NBABrasil on Facebook (Facebook.com/NBABrasil), Instagram (@NBABrasil and @JrNBABrasil), Twitter (@NBABrasil), TikTok (@NBA_Brasil) and YouTube (NBA Brasil and Jr. NBA Brasil).
