In a podcast with fellow ESPN analyst Brian Windhorst, MacMahon mentioned the prospect of the Spurs trading for Young following Atlanta&rsquo;s recent draft lottery result.

ANALYSIS: The Hawks have recently won the No. 1 overall pick and now are at a crossroads to see what direction they could go. They could choose to either trade their current pieces right now and build for the future around burgeoning star Jalen Johnson.&nbsp;

The Sun was about business against highly-touted rookie Caitlin Clark to rout the Fever. Veteran Alyssa Thomas put up a triple-double of 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 13 assists as she carved up the defense of the young Fever featuring back-to-back no.1 picks in Clark and Aliyah Boston.
Clark, this year&rsquo;s top overall selection in the draft and the NCAA&rsquo;s all-time leading scorer in history, scored 20 points on 5-15 shooting from the field including 4-11 from distance. However, she committed 10 turnovers in her first taste of pro basketball.
36-year-old vet DeWanna Bonner led the Sun in scoring with 20 points while teammates DiJonai Carrington and Tyasha Harris added 16 apiece in a balanced attack for Connecticut.

Mitchell was ruled out of the game due to a calf strain but the Cavs gave the Celtics a fight throughout the game. However, missing Mitchell was just too much for the Cavs as they succumbed to a loss. Boston now moves one win for another ECF appearance, a realm they&rsquo;ve been on over the past two years.&nbsp;
The Thunder regained their footing after a seemingly lost game to come up big in the clutch and steal one vs Dallas on the road. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was masterful, providing a signature MVP-worthy performance by putting his team on his back to deliver them the victory.&nbsp;

The 2024 NBA Draft combine is underway at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois and aspiring prospects are going to be showcasing what they&rsquo;ve got in front of hundreds of NBA scouts in attendance.

2024 NBA Draft Combine early assessments: Prospects start their NBA dream

LeBron &lsquo;Bronny&rsquo; James Jr. is expected to stay in the 2024 NBA Draft circle and is attending the draft combine, according to separate reports by ESPN&rsquo;s Adrian Wojnarowski and The Athletic&rsquo;s Shams Charania.
After leaving his name out there to be eligible in this year&rsquo;s draft and being in the NCAA&rsquo;s transfer portal to seek out options, the younger James would now try his chances to get into the league this year.
The USC freshman has been fully cleared to play in the league as part of the Fitness to Play panel and will participate in all pre-draft activities starting with the Draft Combine this week.
The eldest son of the great LeBron James has had a whirlwind start to his basketball career. Just over a year ago, he was diagnosed with a congenital heart disease and had cardiac arrest in one of USC&rsquo;s practices. He was then cleared to play for USC later in January this year, and he averaged modest numbers of 4 points, 2 assists, and 2 rebounds per game, shooting 36% from the field.
After completing his pre-draft activities at the Draft Combine, James will have until May 29 to decide whether to stay in the draft or return to college.
ANALYSIS: Bronny joining the draft could move some front offices around the league, especially how his potential landing spot could be monitored by his father LeBron. The elder LeBron has previously noted his desire to play alongside Bronny, and whether or not it would be with the Lakers or somewhere else remains to be seen.

The Atlanta Hawks will have a big decision to make in the offseason after winning the jackpot in the 2024 NBA Draft Lottery on Sunday afternoon.
The Hawks were big winners by landing the No.1 pick despite having only the 10th best odds coming into the lottery. The Detroit Pistons, who had the league&rsquo;s worst record and a share of the best odds, got unlucky and just landed the 5th overall pick.
The Washington Wizards struck gold as well by landing the 2nd overall pick while the Houston Rockets and the San Antonio Spurs rounded out the top 4 with the 3rd and 4th overall picks respectively.
Despite a relatively weak draft this year as regarded by most scouts, teams will have options to choose from and make their team better in Alex Sarr, Zaccharie Rissacher, Ron Holland, Matas Buzelis, and others.

Day 22 of the 2024 NBA Playoffs on Saturday night had the Boston Celtics and the Dallas Mavericks taking the decisive Game 3 to now lead their respective series 2-1.
The Celtics bounced back from a tough loss at home to a big win on the road. The Mavericks have now won two straight games after losing Game 1 in OKC.

Just days after announcing that they are parting ways with Frank Vogel, the Phoenix Suns have announced they will be signing Mike Budenholzer to be their new head coach.
The Suns and Budenholzer reportedly agreed to a 5-year, $50 million deal <a href="https://x.com/ShamsCharania/status/1789060298638307690">according to The Athletic&rsquo;s Shams Charania.</a>
After just one season with the team, Phoenix now dismisses Frank Vogel after a disappointing 2023-2024 season. The Suns finished 6th seed in the West with a 49-33 record but got swept in the first round, 4-0, by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Now, Phoenix pivots into a tactician on the sidelines to call the shots for their superstar trio Bradley Beal, Devin Booker, and Kevin Durant.

Day 21 of the 2024 NBA Playoffs on Friday night saw the Indiana Pacers and the Denver Nuggets both inching closer in their respective series after winning in Game 3 and now only trail, 1-2.

The Cavs blew out the Boston Celtics on their floor for an impressive road victory and tied up the series at 1-1 heading into Cleveland.
The Mavs gutted it out to earn a huge road win against the OKC Thunder who were undefeated in the playoffs before the game. They tied the series 1-1 as the series shifts over to Dallas.

The shorthanded New York Knicks overcame adversity throughout the game against the Indiana Pacers to grind out a tough win in Game 2 of their best-of-seven series on Day 19 of the 2024 NBA Playoffs on Wednesday night.
Already without Julius Randle, Mitchell Robinson, and Bojan Bogdanovic, the Knicks lost Jalen Brunson in the 2nd quarter with a sore left foot and OG Anunoby late in the 4th with a sore left hamstring.
However, that did not deter New York at all as they got contributions from different players including Josh Hart, Donte DiVincenzo, and Isaiah Hartenstein. Brunson then made a comeback in the 2nd half to push the Knicks to a 2-0 series lead.
