The NBA announced that LeBron James and Domantas Sabonis are the NBA players of the week for week No. 8 of the regular season.

Here is the official statement from the NBA:

"Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James and Indiana Pacers forward/center Domantas Sabonis have been named the NBA Players of the Week for Week 8.

The versatile forward (LeBron James) powered the Lakers to a 3-1 week. James scored 30 or more points in two of three games in Week 8 and averaged 28.3 points, 7.5 rebounds and 8.0 assists, including two triple-doubles. The Lakers (15-13) are the No. 6 seed in the West standings.

Indiana’s low-post star (Domantas Sabonis) was a standout in Week 8 as the Pacers went 3-0. Sabonis had a double-double in both of Indiana’s wins and averaged 25.0 points, 10.3 rebounds and 6.0 assists while shooting 75% from the field. The Pacers (12-16) are the No. 13 seed in the West standings."
