WNBA legend Diana Taurasi has officially announced her retirement from professional basketball.
Taurasi is widely regarded as one of the greatest women's basketball players of all time, if not the greatest. At 42, Taurasi concluded a remarkable 20-season tenure with the Phoenix Mercury, during which she became the WNBA's all-time leading scorer and a six-time Olympic gold medalist.
Her decision to retire was shared in an exclusive interview with Time Magazine, where she expressed feeling mentally and physically fulfilled, stating, "I just didn't have it in me anymore."
Throughout her career, Taurasi amassed an impressive array of accolades, including three WNBA championships, three NCAA titles with the University of Connecticut, and six EuroLeague titles.
