Happy Halloween from us here at BasketballNews.com! It’s time to celebrate with some more NBA action, which includes an entertaining five-game slate. If you haven’t already, go ahead and listen to the “Nothing But Bets” podcast every single day to find your betting edge.

Without further ado, let’s go ahead and dive into our predictions and same game parlays. All odds provided via DraftKings Sportsbook.

Dallas Mavericks (-4.5) vs. Sacramento Kings

This is going to be a fun one in Dallas. Luka Doncic and the Mavericks take on the surging Kings, who continue to impress early on this season. In what should be a closely-contested matchup, I’m rolling with Luka to pull this one out for Dallas. In a long-odds SGP, this is a good way to increase your bankroll on Halloween at +500: Mavericks ML, Doncic 20+ points, De’Aaron Fox 15+ points, Harrison Barnes 16+ points, Jalen Brunson 11+ points, Buddy Hield 2+ threes, Barnes 2+ threes, Brunson 1+ threes. I’m rolling with the Mavericks here to win outright, but not comfortable enough to go with the spread here.

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Utah Jazz (-2)

This feels like a statement game opportunity for Giannis Antetokounmpo, especially playing at center against Rudy Gobert here. Although Utah is favored, they are on the second night of a back-to-back after losing to Chicago. I like the Bucks as the home underdog here getting it done, thanks in large part to Giannis and Khris Middleton. If you want to roll with a Giannis-led SGP, this could seriously pay out big at +700 odds, which feels realistic if he goes off: Bucks ML, Giannis 30+ points, 11+ rebounds, 1+ steals, 1+ blocks, 1+ threes. Tail the Bucks and the Finals MVP in a huge Sunday matchup.

Charlotte Hornets vs. Portland Trail Blazers (-1.5)

This is going to be a fun shootout in Charlotte. Damian Lillard vs. LaMelo Ball is going to provide trick-or-treat style of play on it’s own, so get your popcorn ready. Although they had an extra day to travel, it should be noted that Portland flied across the country beginning an East Coast swing with their first stop in Charlotte. The Blazers have found a rhythm recently, but I actually like the odds of another home underdog pulling off the straight-up victory with the moneyline odds. Expect a big game from not only Ball, but the Hornets’ wing duo of Gordon Hayward and Miles Bridges as well. Give me the Hornets at +105, plus the following for an enticing SGP: Ball 20+ points, Lillard 20+ points, Bridges 16+ points, Hayward 14+ points, Lillard 3+ threes, Ball 3+ threes.

Brooklyn Nets (-12) vs. Detroit Pistons

This one is going to be a blowout, folks. Even though the Pistons picked up their first win of the season last night in Cade Cunningham’s debut, traveling to Brooklyn facing the star-studded Nets is a different beast. Expect more struggles from Cunningham and Co. when they go against the Nets. As “Nothing But Bets” listeners know by now, I love the SGPs involving Kevin Durant and James Harden scoring 20+ points. I love the Nets so much in this one that I’m actually rolling with a double-digit spread to be covered at -12. Expect Durant and Harden to provide some explosive offensive fireworks. Here’s an SGP to tail at +250 odds: Nets -12, Durant 20+ points, Harden 20+ points, Durant 1+ threes, Harden 1+ threes.

Los Angeles Lakers (-11) vs. Houston Rockets

LeBron James’ status for the Lakers is up in the air tonight, but it shouldn’t matter going against the Rockets at the Staples Center. Houston has flashed a few good moments, but this feels like a game where Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis flex their muscles on a young Rockets core. Los Angeles should roll here, and I’m confident they cover a double-digit spread here at -11. In another juicy same game parlay, here’s what I have on the docket to hit at +380 odds: Lakers -11, Davis 20+ points, Westbrook 14+ points, Davis 2+ blocks. The Lakers win this one in blowout fashion to close out our NBA Halloween slate.

Recapping our picks, here’s what “Nothing But Bets” is riding with today: Mavericks ML, Hornets ML (+1.5), Bucks ML (+2), Nets -12, Lakers -11.
