Nets' Kyrie Irving to miss Game 5 vs. Bucks

Brooklyn Nets' guard Kyrie Irving will miss Game 5 against the Milwaukee Bucks, according to head coach Steve Nash.

Irving sprained his ankle on Sunday after coming down awkwardly on Giannis Antetokounmpo's foot – and, currently, a return date for the All-Star is still unknown. Although the post-game X-rays came back negative, Irving had his foot in a boot and left the arena on crutches.

The Nets' Big 3 often terrorize opponents when healthy, but those moments have remained fleeting. Of course, Harden went down just 43 seconds into Game 1 versus Milwaukee and hasn't featured since.

Without Irving available to play in the second half of Game 4, Brooklyn held strong but eventually lost by 11 points in a series-evening and momentum-swinging defeat. Durant carried the load with 28 points and 13 rebounds on 9-for-25 shooting, and he'll be asked to do even more as the lone superstar.

Additionally, Nash noted, James Harden has begun to workout again, but doesn't know when Brooklyn's other star will return from his hamstring injury.
