Minnesota’s Associate HC David Vanterpool and assistant Bryan Gates won’t be returning to new coach Chris Finch’s staff next season, sources tell ESPN.

ANALYSIS: Finch, who was a mid-season hire for the T-Wolves, had to take on the staff that Ryan Saunders had put together before his ultimate departure. Finch will likely want a fresh start with his coaching staff and it sounds like he'll get that this offseason as assistants David Vanterpool and Bryan Gates will not be returning. Many had thought Vanterpool should've got the T-Wolves job once Saunders was fired, so it wouldn't be too surprising to see his name come up this summer once teams in need of a head coach start conducting interviews.
