According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Knicks are trading center Nerlens Noel and guard Alec Burks to the Pistons. The move will free up more than $19m in cap space for the Knicks to help in their pursuit of free agent point guard Jalen Brunson.

As part of the deal, New York will send Detroit back its 2023 second-round pick, a 2024 second-round pick via Miami and $6 million.
