Golden State Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg appears to already be in a little trouble with veteran Draymond Green just weeks after being drafted to the Bay Area. The incident stems from the 11th overall pick claiming that the former Defensive Player of the Year has yet to reply to one of his text messages.

Lendeborg shared during the introductory press conference that he reached out to Green after getting drafted. However, he was yet to hear back. Something that Green later denied on The Draymond Green Show

According to Green, he replied almost immediately. And while sharing this, the four-time All-Star went on to call the new Warriors player a liar.

This, of course, became a talking point during the NBA Summer League's California Classic, where Lendeborg scored 19 in the Warriors' 104-72 win. After the media asked Lendeborg about Green calling him a liar, the rookie clarified that things were good between the two of them,

"I know we're both just playing right now, but it's like, he knew what I was talking about," Lendeborg said. "I asked him a question, and he didn't respond to the question. Well, I should have emphasized it, but I didn't."

Lendeborg also added that he was glad that Green could make a joke out of it, because that was also his personality. A member of the media then asked Lendeborg whether he'd already spoken with Green after his latest podcast episode.

"When he posted on Instagram, I responded. Like, 'you know I asked you a question. It was a joke,'" Lendeborg said. "He laughed at it, so we're both good."

The Instagram post Lendeborg referred to was Green's IG Stories post proving he replied to the rookie.

The timestamp from Lendeborg's message showed that he texted at 12:42 am. Green replied, sending three quick messages over the span of a minute, with his first reply coming in at 12:59.

In his post, Green also said that the rookie hazing for Lendeborg will get intense.

Draymond Green Hints at Intense Rookie Hazing for Yaxel Lendeborg

Green doesn't appear to just be satisfied with proving Yaxel Lendeborg wrong. The Golden State Warriors veteran has already shown the receipts proving he responded to the rookie's message. However, the punishment for what Lendeborg did might not have even started yet.

In his podcast, Green said that the Warriors vets don't really do rookie hazing. For Lendeborg, though, he might bring it back.

"We're not really a team very big on, like, rookie hazing," Green said. "It's just not something we do a ton of. But we can pick that back up. It can get intense, having more and more rookie duties."

"All of a sudden, you're on a 100-mile drive to Best Buy, to buy a PlayStation 5, from a particular Best Buy a hundred miles away," he continued.

Then, he offered a warning, saying, "Let's just tread lightly Yaxel. Tread very lightly."

Hazing the rookies is a standard part of the NBA rookie experience. Nearly every first-year player has gone through it, and a few stories have been shared by those who have.

These practices have, of course, been harmless and can be taken as a prank or a hilarious joke at the rookie's expense. Yaxel might just have to bear twice as much from Green this season after their little back-and-forth.
