The NBA announced on Monday that Washington's Bradley Beal and Dallas' Luka Doncic were named the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively.
Over the last week, Beal led the Wizards to a perfect 4-0 week as Washington continues to surge up the standings. He's currently in a battle with Golden State's Stephen Curry for the NBA scoring title, and averaged 31.3 points per game while shooting 55% on shots from beyond the arc. Thanks in large part to Beal's play, the Wizards have won their last eight games and 10 of their last 11 to move into 10th place in the Easten Conference.

In the Western Conference, Doncic also led his team to a perfect week and almost averaged a triple-double in the process. Doncic averaged 26 points, 10 assists, and nine rebounds per game while leading the Mavericks to a 3-0 record. While Dallas has had quite a bit of adversity to deal with, the Doncic-led Mavericks are currently sitting in sixth place in the Western Conference, a game and a half above Portland for the last true playoff spot.
