Master impersonator and sports junkie Frank Caliendo joins Rex and Josh
On the latest episode of the Rex Chapman Show with Josh Hopkins, the guys are joined by one of the funniest people on the planet, Frank Caliendo! The guys discuss what life was like growing up in a family of funny people and with appearances from Bill Walton and Charles Barkley, they get a preview on the NBA Season. He grew up in Milwaukee but is now a Suns' season ticket holder. 15:00 - Growing up in Waukesha, Wisconsin, Frank discusses growing up playing sports after his father was a minor league baseball player himself. 20:30 - Frank was superstitious as a baseball player, admitting he watched The Natural before every single game. Of course Frank remembers every line from the movie to this day. 22:30 - How Frank ended up on MadTV and NFL on FOX, kicking his comedy career into the stratosphere. It goes back to school when he was doing impressions of his teachers and his close friends. Everyone messes around with their friends, but when he created his John Madden by the time got to college, this was something he wanted to do. 38:00 - Frank outlines how he builds his impressions, a process and mindset that could take months to get just right.
