Curry came to life in the Semi-Finals with 9 three-pointers for 36 points and followed that with 8 three-pointers and 24 points in the Gold Medal Game. Playing in his first Olympics, Curry finished with 14.8 points on 47.8 percent three-point shooting, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.
Despite playing in his first Olympics at just 20 years old, Wembanyama led the French team in scoring with 15.8 points, rebounds at 9.7, assists at 3.3, steals with 2.0, and blocks with 1.7 per game. However, his 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists in the Gold Medal Game were not enough to beat USA.
Jokic highlighted his amazing run in France with a triple-double of 19 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists with 0 turnovers in Serbia's <a href="https://fiba.us11.list-manage.com/track/click?u=7033084a6897e1c399b667eb5&amp;id=d70acb2736&amp;e=2fb0566584">93-83</a> win over Germany in the Bronze Medal Game. For the tournament, the three-time NBA MVP averaged 18.8 points, 10.7 rebounds, 8.7 assists, 2.0 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game in helping Serbia take home their second Olympic medal.
Schroder averaged 17.2 points, 2.5 rebounds, 7.5 assists, and 1.2 steals per game for the world champions Germany, who lost to Serbia in the Bronze Medal Game to finish fourth in their first appearance in the Semi-Finals.

Shai Gilgeous Alexander helped Canada to a perfect 3-0 record in the Group Stage, but could not save the team against France in the Quarter-Finals. He averaged 21.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Bogdan Bogdanovic was the true captain Serbia needed to finish the tournament on the podium. Through six games, he had 18.3 points, and made 46.2 percent of his three-pointers, with 4.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists each night.
Franz Wagner represents Germany in the Second Team, being their top scorer with 18.5 points per game. He also had 5.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.0 steals at this event, proving he's already a game-changer, despite being just 22 years old.
The top scorer of the Olympics was Giannis Antetokounmpo. Greece's talisman leader got 25.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game, bringing the nation all the way from the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament to the Quarter-Finals in Paris.
The home crowd favorite made his way into the team, too. Guerschon Yabusele played an unforgettable elimination phase, getting 22 points against Canada in the Quarter-Finals, 17 against Germany in the Semis, and 20 against the USA in the Final.

USA superstar Stephen Curry once again shone the brightest by providing the biggest shots of the game, including 4 three-pointers in the last 2:47 in the 4th quarter. However, none was bigger than the last three as he rose over two French defenders to hit a nasty stepback triple from the right wing to give the USA a 9-point lead with under a minute to go.
USA built a 14-point lead in the third quarter but France was sparked by the Bercy Arena crowd to pull within three points with three minutes to play until Curry&rsquo;s flurry happened.&nbsp;
After making 9 three-pointers and scoring 36 points in the Semi-Finals, Curry connected on 8 three-pointers for 24 points to lead Team USA while Kevin Durant and LeBron James added 15 points and 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 10 assists respectively. It was Team USA&rsquo;s 5th straight Olympic gold medal and 17th gold medal overall in the basketball tournament. According to FIBA, France also won their fourth silver medal following 1948, 2000, and 2021 - losing to Team USA in all four Gold Medal Games. France's young superstar Victor Wembanyama scored 26 points and Guerschon Yabusele tallied 20 points in the loss.

The Serbians vented their ire against Germany, the team they lost to in the FIBA World Cup championship game. That was without three-time NBA MVP for Serbia though, and this time with Jokic around, he was the difference against the Germans.&nbsp;
Jokic was brilliant from start to finish, collecting a triple-double stat line of 19 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists. NBA players Bogdan Bogdanovic and Vasilje Micic added 19 and 16 points respectively as Serbia dominated Germany thoroughly.&nbsp;
Franz Wagner led the fightback for the Germans with 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists while Moritz Wagner and Dennis Schroder added 16 and 13 points of their own.&nbsp;
Germany closes their summer 4th place &ndash; a huge achievement following their first-ever appearance at an Olympic semifinal. They are already the world champions and having yet another experience at high-stakes basketball only gives Germany the necessary experience needed to medal at the next version of the Games.
For Serbia, this is a redemption from their silver medal finish in the FIBA World Cup and after failing to finish on the podium in Tokyo 2020. Serbia already finished in 2nd place in 2016 against Team USA, and this bronze cements their place as one of the top basketball nations in the world.

France gave everything they could in front of the home crowd in Paris and they delivered after overcoming reigning world champions Germany, 73-69, at the Bercy Arena in Paris, France for the 2024 Paris Olympics.&nbsp;
France once again fed off the energy from the loud crowd in Paris to eke out a win against a favored opponent for the second straight game. France notably defeated Canada who were filled with legit NBA talent from top to bottom in the quarterfinals, and now they beat the reigning world champions in Germany.&nbsp;
France started strong yet again with Guerschon Yabusele starting over Rudy Gobert. Yabusele provided the physicality inside to power through Germany&rsquo;s frontline en route to scoring 17 points and grabbing 7 rebounds. Isaia Cordinier, who also stepped up in the knockout rounds for France, backed him up with 16 points of his own
French phenom Victor Wembanyama struggled for a second straight game offensively with just 11 points on 4/17 shooting but he did have 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 blocks.
Dennis Schroder once again led the world champs&rsquo; attack with 18 points but he shot just 6/18 from the field and missed one crucial free throw at the end that would have cut the lead to just one. Franz Wagner, who was the Germans&rsquo; leading scorer against Canada with 26 points, only scored 10 points against a tough and tall French frontline.

Team USA has actually faced and already beaten Serbia twice &ndash; once in the USA Basketball Showcase in Abu Dhabi and the other in the group stage in Group C.&nbsp;
Both of the games were blowouts, but this upcoming game could probably be the biggest test the Americans could face in the tournament. The Serbians have the biggest weapon against Team USA &ndash; familiarity &ndash; and this could come very much in handy in a single elimination game with all the necessary adjustments needed on the fly.

The Germans and the French have faced each other in the group stage over at Group B where Germany won handily, 85-71. NBA duo Franz Wagner and Dennis Schroder led the way for Germany as they stifled a France team eager to play in front of their home fans in Lille. The Germans punished the French on both ends of the floor in that game, capitalizing on misses and converting on easy transition points in the fastbreak.&nbsp;
That led to Germany finishing first in the group and facing Greece in the quarterfinals, winning 76-63. France ended up taking second in the group and matched up against a tougher Canada side with an NBA-laden roster. However, with the help of an active and energetic crowd in Paris, France rode the momentum to upset the Canadians 82-73 and set up a rematch against Germany.
This French crowd may just be the difference for France in this rematch vs Germany.&nbsp;

He did, however, make a crucial defensive play with under 3 minutes to go by blocking a shot which eventually turned into an Evan Fournier dagger from 40 ft to push France&rsquo;s lead to 10. That is usually where Wembanyama&rsquo;s excellence is ramified &ndash; on the defensive end of the floor. Much is to be said for the highly-touted French phenom, but he absolutely cannot play like he did against Canada if France wants to win vs the reigning world champions. That said, it can be expected Wemby bounces back big-time one way or another.&nbsp;

In a bold move, France head coach Vincent Collet opted to bring the NBA center off the bench for better matchups against Canada &ndash; and it worked superbly well. Guerschon Yabusele started in Gobert&rsquo;s place and eventually earned the player of the game honors with 22 points. Yabusele was the driving force of France&rsquo;s attack as he attacked the paint with his aggressiveness. His added scoring punch compared to Gobert&rsquo;s playing style helped France get the lead early and never relinquished it until the end.
Against Germany, it will be interesting to see how Gobert acclimates himself and makes himself usable. The Germans have a strong frontline that fits well with each other alongside Franz Wagner and Schroder&rsquo;s relentless attacking of the rim. Perhaps Gobert will make himself valuable on the defensive side of the floor as France will need all the help they can get on defense with Germany&rsquo;s incredible offense.

The Americans moved one step closer to attaining their coveted 8th straight gold medal in the games with a huge game played on both ends of the floor. Team USA displayed a masterclass on both offense and defense anchored by their best players as well as the supporting players chipping in with their parts as well.&nbsp;
A&rsquo;Ja Wilson was her usual dominant self for Team USA with a great performance of 20 points on 9/11 shooting with 11 rebounds. Tandem Breanna Stewart added 13 points while Wilson&rsquo;s teammate with the Las Vegas Aces Jackie Young had a great second straight game after starting yet again by scoring 15 points.
The USA remains undefeated in the quarter-finals at the Olympics, winning their eight game in this phase: however, this was their closest win at the quarter-finals of the Olympics, with their seven previous games being all won by 15 or more points.
Team USA will now face Australia in the semifinals after the Opals defeated Serbia in the other semis matchup. France and Belgium will also do their honors on the other side of the bracket for the right to fight for gold.

The USA Men&rsquo;s National Basketball Team did not break a sweat as it dominated Brazil by 35 points, 122-87, to book a semifinals ticket at the 2024 Paris Olympics.&nbsp;
Team USA led from start to finish as they played their first game in Paris at the Bercy Arena after playing their first 3 group stage games 150 miles north of the French capital in Lille at the Pierre de Mauroy stadium. The Americans were welcomed by a sold-out crowd in Paris this time and did not disappoint.&nbsp;
Team USA unleashed a barrage of threes led by Devin Booker, who had 18 points with 5 threes made. Team USA also went up and ran the floor, causing havoc on the open floor with their vaunted defense to get some easy buckets on the other end.&nbsp;
Joel Embiid, a crowd favorite in Paris, played perhaps the best game in a Team USA jersey with 14 points including 3/3 from downtown. He scored on an and-one in the 2nd quarter and had fun time hyping up fans that were booing him, celebrating on a dx chop gesture made famous in the WWE.
LeBron James was his usual captain self as he manned the team with 12 points and a team high 9 assists. James went to the locker room in the 3rd quarter after getting hit inadvertently at the side of the head, and according to head coach Steve Kerr, needed four stitches. James ended up back on the bench in the 4th quarter as he watched his fellow Americans cruise to the victory.&nbsp;
Kevin Durant, Team USA&rsquo;s Captain America, made history by becoming the federation&rsquo;s all-time leading scorer in history both in men&rsquo;s and women&rsquo;s by scoring 11 points. He also had his 26th straight game of scoring 10 or more which is 2 more games off the mark of Pau Gasol, who has the record at 28 games straight.&nbsp;
Birthday boy Anthony Edwards who just turned 23 had himself a fun game, scoring 17 points and getting up the shots he wanted to take off the bench.&nbsp;
Everybody else played their role and this Team USA still looks invincible 4 games in, with possibly 2 more games to go before winning that coveted 5th straight Olympic gold medal.
Bruno Caboclo showed up for Brazil with 30 points on 13/20 shooting, which marked his 2nd straight game scoring 30 or more. Caboclo scored 33 points in their win vs Japan.
Up next for Team USA is a rematch with Serbia in the semifinals. Team USA notably beat the Serbians by 26 in group stage play, and Serbia should have something on their shoulders ahead of that colossal semis matchup for a chance to play for gold.

Behind a raucous crowd at the Bercy Arena in Paris, Hosts France played a great game to grab a huge win over Canada, 82-73, and book a spot in the semifinals at the 2024 Paris Olympics.&nbsp;
The French fed off the high intensity and energy inside the Bercy Arena to deny the Canadians, who coming to the game, were in huge favorites. Canada did not lose a single game in pool play despite being in the so-called &lsquo;Group of Death&rsquo;. They were flawless and were looking to claim the hosts as their next victim on their way to pursue a gold medal, however, France had other plans in mind.&nbsp;
To counter Canada&rsquo;s speed and strength with their guards, France and head coach Vincent Collet opted to start Guerschon Yabusele at the 4 alongside French phenom Victor Wembanyama at the 5 instead of Rudy Gobert. This was an effort to have a faster lineup, and it paid dividends for France. Yabusele feasted on a smaller Canadian frontline, leading the team in scoring with 22 points. He pounded the ball inside and was aggressive looking for his shot, providing the extra scoring punch France needed. Matthias Lessort also did the same thing off the bench as he scored 14 points of his own off of similar actions like Yabusele.
Wembanyama struggled to find his offense as he finished just 2/10 from the field good for 10 points, but he provided perhaps the biggest play of the game when he blocked a shot in the 4th quarter as Canada was mounting their comeback.
