Brown, 54, led Sacramento to the playoffs for the first time in 16 years two years ago and won 46 games and a Play-In game this season. He now gets a $4.5 million raise annually and an additional two seasons of $8.5 million per year.
The 2022-2023 NBA Coach of the Year and the Kings were determined to discuss a new deal after the franchise&rsquo;s recent success over the past two years. After ending a 16-year playoff drought, the Kings took then-defending champions Golden State Warriors to 7 games before eventually losing.&nbsp;

Although the Celtics swept the Pacers, it did not come easy with 3 of the 4 games had Indiana the lead in the 4th quarter before Boston displayed their superior experience in clutch playoff situations that willed them to victory.

The Pacers also missed young star Tyrese Haliburton in action during the series&rsquo; last two games with a left sore hamstring.

Jaylen Brown won the Eastern Conference Finals MVP after averaging 29.3 points on 54 percent shooting in the 4-game sweep.

Over at the West, the Timberwolves finally won a game over the Mavericks in impressive fashion. After leading most of the time in the first three games, particularly in the 4th quarter, the Mavericks proved to be the better team in the clutch led by Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

However this time around, star guard Anthony Edwards showed his clutch genes as well, hitting a long two-pointer that gave Minnesota a 5-point lead with 38 seconds left.&nbsp;

Co-star Karl-Anthony Towns was also huge, tallying 20 points in the second half including two huge threes in the 4th that kept the Mavs at bay.

The Dallas Mavericks defied the odds to defeat the Minnesota Timberwolves at home and take a commanding 3-0 lead in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals on Day 36 of the 2024 NBA Playoffs, Sunday night.
The Mavericks outworked, outhustled, and out-strategized the Timberwolves who were looking for an answer to their superb attack. Led by their dynamic backcourt duo Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, the Mavericks sliced up the Wolves&rsquo; defense with their scoring and passing in the pick-and-roll. The Timberwolves&rsquo; no.1 defense in the regular season could not do anything with Doncic and Irving throwing up lob after lob while also scoring at will.&nbsp;
Minnesota star guard Anthony Edwards was better in Game 3 however co-star Karl-Anthony Towns struggled once again vs the physical and scrappy defense by the Mavs against him.
Dallas will try to close it out and sweep Minnesota in Game 4 on Tuesday.

2024 NBA Playoffs Day 36 Recap: Dallas moves one win away from NBA Finals

The Boston Celtics came back from the dead after trailing all game long to steal one on the road against the Indiana Pacers on Saturday night in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Day 35 of the 2024 NBA Playoffs.
The Celtics outscored the Pacers 33-21 in the 4th quarter including Jrue Holiday&rsquo;s clutch and one bucket with less than a minute to go.
Holiday came up clutch yet again on the next possession on the defensive end after stealing the ball from Andrew Nembhard to essentially seal the win.
The Pacers had a chance to tie the game with 3 seconds to go but Aaron Nesmith missed a three in the corner off a superb out-of-bounds play call by Indiana coach Rick Carlisle.
Indiana played without star PG Tyrese Haliburton who was out due to left hamstring soreness. He is expected to still be out in Game 4 as Boston goes for the sweep.

The 2024 NBA MVP finalist asked for a switch in the game&rsquo;s last possession against the 2024 NBA DPOY and then buried the three right on his face to give the Mavs a 1-point lead with three seconds left.
The Wolves had a last crack with Anthony Edwards drawing two defenders to him. He passed it to Naz Reid who missed a good look to end the game.
Dallas has now won both road games and now leads 2-0 over the Wolves as the series shifts to Dallas this time for Game 3.

Joining the three in the All-NBA first team are the Milwaukee Bucks&rsquo; Giannis Antetokounmpo and Boston Celtics&rsquo; Jayson Tatum.

Most Valuable Player recipient Nikola Jokic and his runner-up Shai Gilgeous-Alexander have been named to the NBA&rsquo;s All-NBA First Team, the league announced Wednesday night.
Along with the all-rookie and all-defensive teams, all-NBA teams are also now positionless.
Jokic and SGA were the only unanimous awardees to make the First Team, garnering all 99 1st-place votes.
Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic fell short of achieving the same feat after a voter voted him 2nd team to finish with just 98 1st place votes.
Joining the three in the All-NBA first team are the Milwaukee Bucks&rsquo; Giannis Antetokounmpo and Boston Celtics&rsquo; Jayson Tatum.
Making up the All-NBA Second Team were Jalen Brunson (New York Knicks), Anthony Davis (Los Angeles Lakers), Kevin Durant (Phoenix Suns), Kawhi Leonard (Los Angeles Clippers), and Anthony Edwards (Minnesota Timberwolves).
The third team consisted of Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors), LeBron James (Los Angeles Lakers), Devin Booker (Phoenix Suns), Domantas Sabonis (Sacramento Kings), and Tyrese Haliburton (Indiana Pacers).

2024 NBA All-NBA Teams: First, Second, and Third All-NBA Teams revealed

The Boston Celtics overcame a late-game scare to beat the visiting Indiana Pacers on Tuesday night in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Day 31 of the 2024 NBA Playoffs.
The Celtics trailed by five late in the 4th after the Pacers&rsquo; furious run in the 4th quarter with some clutch baskets led by 2019 NBA champ Pascal Siakam and young Andrew Nembhard. The Celtics scored on a huge Jrue Holiday basket and got lucky on an Indiana turnover to get the ball back.
It then set up a crazy sequence for Jaylen Brown who hit a contested three-pointer deep in the corner with Siakam all over him to knot the score at 117-117. Tyrese Haliburton had one last shot to try and win the game for the Pacers but could not get a clean look off, sending the game into overtime.
In the extra period, Jayson Tatum took on the scoring cudgels and put the team on his back, pouring in 11 points including a huge three from the top of the key to put the Celtics&rsquo; up by five and essentially win the game.
Game 2 will be on Thursday night still at the TD Garden in Boston.
