Team C (Chris Mullin) and Team G League advanced to the 2025 NBA Castrol Rising Stars title game after defeating their respective opponents in the semis at the 2025 NBA All-Star Weekend at Chase Center in San Francisco.
Team C won over Team T (Tim Hardaway) 40-34 in the first semifinals game. San Antonio Spurs rookie Stephon Castle delivered the game-winning bucket via a right wing stepback jumper to reach the target score of 40. Castle had 6 points, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds while Utah Jazz sophomore Keyonte George led the team in scoring with 10 points.
Team G League then beat Team M in the second semifinals game in a close one, 40-39. Rip City Remix’s Bryce McGowens drilled the final shot for Team G League, a left-leaning three with them down by 3 to finish the game off. McGowens finished the game with 12 points, while Minnesota Timberwolves/Iowa Wolves’ Leonard Miller topscored for the team with 14 points.
Team C and Team G League will now advance to the 2025 NBA Castrol Rising Stars championship game for a chance to compete in Sunday’s NBA All-Star Game against Team Shaq’s OG’s.
