The Washington Wizards will be without point guard Ish Smith for the next six-to-eight weeks due to a right proximal quadriceps injury, the team announced on Wednesday evening. 

Injury update: Ish Smith will miss approximately 6-8 weeks due to a right proximal quadriceps injury.

He will be re-evaluated in approximately three weeks.

This season for the Wizards, Smith has averaged 5.2 points per game while playing 20 minutes per contest off the bench. The team added that his injury will be re-evaluated in approximately three weeks.
