Houston Rockets release DeMarcus Cousins

The Houston Rockets are releasing center DeMarcus Cousins.

ANALYSIS: Cousins was signed to a one-year deal at the veteran minimum, and Houston had reportedly guaranteed Cousins' salary last week. The former All-NBA center was averaging just 9.6 points and 7.6 rebounds with the Rockets after not playing in 2019-20 due to an ACL injury.
