The NBA announced that Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant and Chicago Bulls forward DeMar DeRozan have been named the NBA Western and Eastern Conference Players of the Week for Dec. 27-Jan. 2.

Morant has helped the Grizzlies skyrocket to fourth in the Western Conference since his return. The third-year guard averaged 34.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game this past week, helping Memphis go 3-0.
For Chicago, DeRozan continues a dominant 2021-22 campaign. He averaged 27.8 points, 7.3 assists and 5.3 rebounds as the Bulls went 3-0. DeRozan also became the first player in NBA history to hit game-winning buzzer-beaters on back-to-back days.
