The Heat are also considered by front-office executives as one of the favorites to land LaMarcus Aldridge if the Spurs buy out the veteran big. The Trail Blazers are also a threat to acquire Aldridge, sources say.

ANALYSIS: LaMarcus Aldridge and the Spurs agreed to part ways on March 10th, but San Antonio has yet to find a trade partner for the veteran big man. As the deadline approaches, the Spurs will obviously be more aggressive with their searches, but the possibility of San Antonio buying Aldridge out seems increasingly likely given most teams won't be inclined to give up much for the 35-year-old.
In 21 games this year, Aldridge is averaging 13.7 points and 4.5 rebounds in about 26 minutes per game.
