Without further ado, let’s dive into our favorite NBA betting plays for Friday's slate.
Charlotte Hornets vs. Utah Jazz (-3.5)
This is one of the best matchups for Friday’s NBA action, especially from a stylistic perspective. The Jazz are a well-oiled machine, and so efficient on both ends of the court. Meanwhile, Charlotte is one of my favorite teams to watch thanks to its insanely fast pace led by LaMelo Ball. In this one, we’re leaning to the road favorite. Rudy Gobert’s defense will be the ultimate trump card here, preventing the Hornets from doing much damage around the basket. Confidently hammer the Jazz to cover the 3.5-point spread.
Pick: Jazz -3.5
PrizePicks Power Play: Donovan Mitchell over 27.5 points, LaMelo Ball over 20.5 points, Rudy Gobert over 14.5 rebounds, Miles Bridges over 6 rebounds
Minnesota Timberwolves (-3.5) vs. Dallas Mavericks
Another fun matchup where so much young star power is going to be on display. Luka Doncic is back in the Mavericks’ lineup, so his presence will be much-needed on the road in Minnesota. For the Timberwolves, you will be hard-pressed to find a more consistent team as of late, sans the Phoenix Suns. Minnesota is another team that feels right on the cusp of taking another leap. Friday night feels like the perfect statement opportunity to beat Doncic and the Mavericks at home.
Pick: Timberwolves -3.5
PrizePicks Power Play: Luka Doncic over 29.5 points, Anthony Edwards over 19.5 points, Jalen Brunson over 15.5 points, Jarred Vanderbilt over 7.5 rebounds
Atlanta Hawks (-3) vs. Golden State Warriors
Trae Young is putting the Hawks’ entire operation on his back right now, carrying them forward to a likely Play-In Tournament berth in the Eastern Conference. Against the Warriors, who are still without Stephen Curry, we’re forecasting another monster outing from Young. Golden State is barely above water right now without Curry, and going up against Young is a bad matchup at the moment. Lock in the Hawks as a “Nothing But Bets” best bet of the day.
Pick: Hawks -3
PrizePicks Power Play: Trae Young over 27.5 points, Jordan Poole over 23.5 points, Clint Capela over 10.5 rebounds, Kevon Looney over 5.5 rebounds
