Minnesota Timberwolves wing Anthony Edwards is the latest star in the NBA to land in COVID-19 health and safety protocols. The Association continues to see an increased rise in COVID-related issues throughout the month of December, including countless new cases over the last 48 hours.

ANALYSIS: Edwards has taken off recently for Minnesota, becoming their bonafide No. 1 scoring option on top of playing improved defense. So far this season, Edwards is averaging 22.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 36.0% on threes.
It's another disappointing development across the NBA as mulitple players are being placed in health and safety protcols seemingly every hour.
