Taylor Jenkins, Erik Spoelstra named Coaches of the Month for December

The NBA announced that Memphis Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins and Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra have won Coach of the Month honors for the month of December.

Here is the official release from the NBA:

"Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra and Memphis Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins have been named the NBA Coaches of the Month for December.

Spoelstra guided the Heat to a 10-5 record, while Jenkins and the Grizzlies posted a 12-4 mark in December. Both squads are currently the 4th seed in their respective conference standings."

Other nominees included:

West: Steve Kerr (Golden State Warriors) and Quin Snyder (Utah Jazz)

East: J.B. Bickerstaff (Cleveland Cavaliers), Mike Budenholzer (Milwaukee Bucks) and Steve Nash (Brooklyn Nets)
