ANALYSIS: Jordan has been out of the Lakers' rotation for a while now, and he will become an unrestricted free agent once he clears waivers. Jordan could draw some interest from playoff teams looking for frontcourt depth as the postseason nears.
Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN noted that "the 76ers have been in the market for a backup center and will be aggressive in pursuit of DeAndre Jordan — either placing a waiver claim or working to sign him as a free agent should he clear waivers."
Charania added: "The Lakers also intend to sign forward Wenyen Gabriel on a two-way NBA contract." Gabriel had stints with the Nets, Clippers and Pelicans this season and will now get an opportunity with the struggling Lakers.
