Joe Ingles passes John Stockton for most threes in Jazz history

As the Utah Jazz rolled to their eleventh consecutive win on Friday night against the Mavericks, Joe Ingles was setting milestones of his own.

The 33-year-old knocked down his 846th three-pointer, passing Utah legend John Stockton for the most triples in franchise history. Ingles finished with 10 points in the 120-101 win over Dallas. He is a 40.8 percent career shooter from distance, compared to the 38.4 percent clip sported by Stockton.

“It’s just great to see Joe get some individual accomplishments because I think of things about Joe go unsaid or unnoticed,” Jazz teammate Georges Niang said. “His value to this team is tremendous. For him to get some personal accolades is tremendous. I’m super happy for him.”

“I’ll take it … until Donovan gets hot and takes it over from me,” Ingles said regarding the record. Donovan Mitchell (606) sits fourth on the franchise three-point makes list.
