ANALYSIS: The newest report on Westbrook comes on the heels of rumors around questions of James Harden's future with the Rockets. Houston's backcourt duo was one of the more dynamic combinations in the league last season. Despite not being able to take down the eventual NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers, the team was able to defeat the upset-minded Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round.

As a duo, Westbrook and Harden played together on average for over 26 minutes per night in 55 regular-season games and 23 minutes per night in eight playoff games.

In the regular season, Westbrook individually averaged 27.2 points, 7.9 rebounds and 7 assists per game.
