NBA rolls out COVID-19 rapid testing plan

The NBA is planning to administer daily point-of-care, rapid testing system for its teams during 2020-21 season. Policy for invalid coronavirus test results: Undergo another rapid test at least 30 minutes after result of the first test -- and still able to participate in team activities while awaiting second result.

ANALYSIS: With preseason starting today and the regular season set to begin in a week and a half, the NBA has officially rolled out its COVID-19 rapid testing plan. Results are expected to be delivered within 30 minutes of taking the test for in home markets, and 90 minutes when on the road. Players are to be tested every day to keep positive results to a minimum and prevent a league-wide outbreak.
